About Mr. Muñoz

Mr. Munoz originally comes from Austin, Texas.  Upon graduating from Boston College in 1992 with a degree in accounting, he attended Seton Hall University School of Law, where he obtained his law degree in 1995.  Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Munoz clerked for Family Part Judge Paul M. DePascale in Hudson County, New Jersey.  Since that time, Mr. Munoz has practiced primarily in family law related matters.  He is a member of both the Union and Middlesex County Bar Associations as well as their Family Law Sections.  He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, its Family Law Section, and and is a former member of the State Bar Association's Family Law Executive Committee.  Mr. Munoz has served as a panelist in the Union County Early Settlement Program since 1996.  He is a past Vice-Chair of the District XII Fee Arbitration Committee, and former member of the District XII Ethics Committee. He is currently the co-chair of the Union County Bar Association's Family Law Committee and is a trustee of the Union County Bar Association. Mr. Muñoz was elected to the Borough Council for the Borough of New Providence in November 2010.

 

Mr. Munoz completed a 40 hour Family Law mediation training program in 2005 and is now offering his services as a family law mediator, as an alternative to litigating matters.  He has mediated over 100 matters over the course of the past 5 years. The benefit of mediation is that it allows parties to control their fate, rather than letting someone else decide for them how best to resolve their matter.

 

Our office hours are from Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with additional evening and weekend hours as needed to accommodate weekend and evening appointments.
